The manometer display always indicates a pressure which differs by 1 bar from the pressure indicated on the pack controller. Why is that?

The value indicated on the pressure transmitter is relative to the ambient pressure (1 bar) However the pressure transmitter is calibrated in the pack controller on the basis of the absolute pressure. The absolute pressure cannot be negative. For example, in order to parameterise a transmitter with the relative pressure indication of –1 bar (at 4 mA and 0 V) and 7 bar (at 20 mA and 10 V) the ambient pressure (1 bar) must be added. In this example, the entry is carried out as follows: 0 bar...8 bar.

Calculation:
p_absolute (pressure for the entry in the pack controller) =
p_relative (pressure indication on the transmitter) + 1 bar (ambient pressure)
